Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics is seeking a Regional Project Engineer for our Kansas City team. This role partners with Field Application Engineers to design material handling systems, create proposals, and manage projects with significant autonomy.

You will gain exposure to robotics, autonomous vehicles, and cutting-edge material handling technologies. Responsibilities include site supervision, budgeting, scheduling, AutoCAD support, and driving continuous improvement in project execution while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required (Mechanical, Industrial, or Systems disciplines preferred).
• 3–5 years' experience; automated material handling sector preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar software.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Excellent technical problem-solving capability (hardware, controls).
• Strong scheduling and organizational skills.
• Willing and transparent communicator.
• Team player, customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, supervise sites, troubleshoot and manage projects.
• Maintain budget, schedule, and implementation plan for projects.
• Assist with AutoCAD drawings, quotes, spare parts orders, and other design tasks.
• Improve project execution processes (Gantt charts, continuous improvement).
• Resolve issues promptly and ensure customer satisfaction with Support.
• Assist with site installation including material inventory, schedule tracking, and supervising subcontractors.
• Collaborate with Field Application Engineers for smooth project transitions.
• Develop deep understanding of material handling equipment, suppliers, and applications.
• Inform stakeholders and subcontractors of project/schedule changes.
• Provide customer support for ongoing and warranty projects.
