Melecs USA Corp. in Auburn Hills, Michigan is the sales and engineering office for Melecs EWS GmbH, an electronics engineering and manufacturing service provider with Austrian roots. The Regional Program Manager is responsible for the satisfaction and business development of the customers (close collaboration with Tier 1 suppliers) assigned to him/her. S/he is responsible for defining, coordinating and implementing the necessary steps to ensure positive business development. The Regional Program Manager collaborates with upstream and downstream departments based on clearly agreed commitments.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Successfully execute plans while engaging with the broader Melecs organization, (as required) while continually improving customer satisfaction.
- Constantly monitoring and analysing your customer(s), in order to identify important changes, opportunities and potential risks and take the appropriate action in a timely manner according to the business environment.
- Maintain existing customer relationships as a competent partner while supporting Account Manager to expand portfolio by gaining new projects. Build customer network (360° radar) and generate "Promotors" from customer's side.
- Define and implement activities (in line with Melecs Frame) to ensure the necessary customer satisfaction (24-hour feedback and execution in a timely manner)
- Process customer inquiries (Request for Information) and follow internal processes to support customer offers according to Market to Order Process. (VA0172). Involve Account Manager according to the Responsibility Matrix (e.g. RFQ, volume expansion).
- Support Account Manager in the preparation of relevant data for annual price negotiation.
- Act in line with existing customer contracts (T&C's, Quality agreement, Supply Agreements, etc.)
- Review the impact on Engineering Change Requests (ECOs) and Product Change Notifications(PCNs) on program profitability, resources and processes. Align with Account Manger if evaluation through Cost Engineering (CE) is necessary (VA0038). Ensure subsequent implementation of ECOs and PCNs
- Maintain customer forecast in MACS (quantity and price) for the assigned products in monthly buckets at product level (rolling forecast) as well as verify deviations with customer. Escalate to Account Manager in case of deviations outside agreed flexibility level and exceeding production capacity. Follow up on backlogs and implement recovery actions in case of cost deviations for materials and production. Working basis: MACS / SAP
- Define appropriate measures in case of budget variances (quantity changes, residues, plan cost variances for materials and production, ...) MACS
- Define and perform necessary actions to ensure the Working Capital target is in line with agreed targets.
- Handle and monitor customer LOA pricing including pricing adjustment in case of LOA deviations/changes to customer.
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ work experience in business or administration
- Associate's degree from an accredited two-year junior college in technical, business or administration or one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience or training in electrical or EMS manufacturing an advantage but not a requirement
- Working knowledge of ERP system (e.g. SAP)
- Working knowledge of standard office tools (presentations, spreadsheets, word processing)
- Strong negotiation skills
- Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, strong initiative and the ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license a must
- Willingness to do limited travel (domestic and international)
