Job summary

Vylor is seeking a Regional Production Training Specialist in Johnston, IA, to lead and improve training programs across Global Seed Operations. You will coordinate with Production, Quality, EHS&S, and other groups to standardize onboarding and ensure safety, quality, and operational excellence.

The role requires designing and delivering instructor-led, blended, and digital training, maintaining LMS resources, and driving continuous improvement across sites.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering employee training programs.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and priorities across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build collaborative relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience developing and maintaining documentation, training records, learning resources, and LMS.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Forms.
  • Ability to develop assessments/surveys, analyze feedback and data, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central point of contact for production training programs across Global Seed Operations.

  • Lead design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of onboarding and training programs for production environments (instructor-led, blended, digital).

  • Maintain training procedures, certification processes, learning documentation, and program resources for compliance.
  • Coordinate and support training content related to quality systems and seed production processes.
  • Collaborate with Quality and EHS&S teams to keep content current and compliant.
  • Monitor training effectiveness via feedback, metrics, and audits to identify gaps and improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training quality and cross-site collaboration.

The Regional Production Training Specialist leads and continuously improves production training and onboarding programs across Global Seed Operations (GSO). Partnering with seed production sites, Quality, EHS&S, and other functions, this role ensures consistent training delivery, standardized onboarding, and alignment with safety, quality, and operational standards. The specialist oversees training programs, supports workforce capability development, and drives learning strategies that enhance employee performance.

Additionally, this role provides stewardship of key quality and seed production learning programs, ensuring content, learning pathways, and requirements remain current and aligned with business needs. By analyzing training, assessment, feedback, and performance data, the specialist identifies capability gaps and leads continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen onboarding, employee development, and operational effectiveness across GSO.

VISA Sponsorship is not available for this position. This is a hybrid role working in‑office Tuesday–Thursday; remote Monday and Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the central point of contact for production training programs, coordinating communications, meetings, resources, and stakeholder engagement across Global Seed Operations.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, EHS&S, and other functional teams to align training priorities, program requirements, and execution strategies.
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of onboarding and training programs for production environments, including instructor‑led, blended, and digital learning solutions.
  • Standardize training and onboarding experiences across locations while incorporating site‑specific processes, requirements, and operational needs.
  • Provide guidance on learning strategy, adult learning principles, and training effectiveness to support consistent, high‑quality delivery across production sites.
  • Maintain training procedures, certification processes, learning documentation, and program resources to ensure compliance and standardized execution.
  • Coordinate and support training content related to quality systems, product quality, seed quality, seed production programs, and other critical operational processes.
  • Collaborate with Quality and EHS&S teams to ensure training content remains current, compliant, and aligned with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Monitor training effectiveness through learner feedback, assessments, operational metrics, quality trends, audit findings, and stakeholder input to identify capability gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance training quality, onboarding effectiveness, employee capability, operational performance, and cross‑site collaboration.
Education

Bachelor''s degree in Education, Agriculture Education, Agriculture Systems Management, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
