Job summary

Sibelco Midlothian plant seeks an experienced Operations Leader to guide plant operations, safety, quality, cost, and delivery in a highly regulated process-manufacturing environment. You will lead cross-functional teams across Operations, Maintenance, Quality and Engineering to deliver business objectives.

The role requires 3–5 years of leadership in operations, a chemical/mechanical/industrial engineering background, and a proven track record in lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and achieving performance

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of operations leadership experience directing several of the following disciplines.
• Proven track record of driving operational and cultural improvements for full facility turnaround.
• Undergraduate degree in chemical, mechanical, industrial/manufacturing engineering, production technology or operations management is preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant operations with full accountability for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environmental performance in a regulated process-manufacturing environment.
• Ensure EH&S, PSM, and regulatory standards compliance while fostering a zero-incident safety culture.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S, standard work, visual management, waste reduction, Kaizen events.
• Apply Six Sigma to reduce process variation, improve yields, and enhance product consistency.
• Champion TPM to improve equipment reliability, asset utilization and OEE.
• Establish and actively manage KPIs for safety, throughput, yield, downtime, quality, energy use and cost.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering for continuous improvement.
• Present and align on annual business plans with cost, efficiency, utilization, and schedule targets.
• Select, train, develop, and promote staff to build a world-class operations team.
• Collaborate with EH&S leads to manage safety and environmental compliance across state, local, and federal levels.
