Job summary

The Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) seeks qualified interns to assist in a diverse set of regional and municipal planning projects, including master plans, climate resilience, housing, open space and economic development studies. You will work with a dynamic team on meaningful initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and writing skills for report preparation and editing.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Comfort with data collection and analysis.
  • Experience with GIS is preferred.
  • Candidates with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning initiatives at regional and municipal levels.
  • Assist with master planning, GIS/mapping, and data services.
  • Contribute to community development and economic development plans.
  • Coordinate meetings and assist with public engagement tools (surveys, newsletters, social media).
  • Assist with website and report design; perform other duties as assigned.
