The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Regional Philanthropy Officer to support New York City and the surrounding communities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

We are looking for a seasoned fundraising professional to join the Individual Fundraising team as a Regional Philanthropy Officer. The ideal candidate is an experienced fundraiser who goes beyond traditional major gifts work and successfully builds and closes transformational philanthropic partnerships. Responsible for a minimum annual fundraising goal tied to the portfolio as specified in performance standards, including both renewable gifts and new revenue. Create individualized donor plans that drive informed, compelling, and complex solicitations. Conduct face‑to‑face donor visits, preparing customized engagement materials.
  • Maintain accurate and timely donor information in Salesforce following all donor interactions.
  • Participate in disaster relief fundraising projects as appropriate. Revenue targets may increase due to major domestic disasters.
  • Recruit, develop, and work with field staff and volunteers.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum five years of sales and/or fundraising experience required.
  • Proven experience in developing strategies for donor retention, growth, and recapture, and proven success with complex requests is required.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
  • Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences.
