Loveland Center Inc. is seeking a Regional Philanthropy Associate to advance its mission through donor relations, community outreach, and impactful fundraising events. You will manage a portfolio of 100+ donors, cultivate relations, and help drive engagement and giving.
The role combines event planning, marketing, and outreach activities, requiring strong communication, organization, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
The Regional Philanthropy Associate plays a critical role in advancing Loveland Center’s mission by increasing visibility, stewarding relationships, and producing impactful fundraising and outreach events. This position combines donor relations, community outreach, event planning, sales and marketing into one dynamic role, helping build an inclusive and connected community for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The Regional Philanthropy Associate is also responsible for the stewardship and cultivation of a portfolio of 100+ donors and community members, stewarding individuals that donate up to $5,000 annually, ensuring consistent engagement and movement along the donor pipeline.
Act as an ambassador for Loveland Center by attending civic, chamber, nonprofit, and social events to build awareness and relationships.
Schedule and deliver presentations to schools, civic groups, faith communities, and local organizations to promote Loveland’s mission.
Cultivate and steward community stakeholders, sponsors, and donors through regular touchpoints, meetings, and updates.
Research and build strategic alliances and partnerships to amplify Loveland’s reach and impact.
Serve as the community liaison for all third-party events.
Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the job that might include night, weekends and/or holidays.
Assist with planning, organizing, and executing 1-2 major events in coordination with the Event and Volunteer Coordinator (ex. Golf Tournament, BBQ, 5K) and additional minor events (donor/volunteer appreciation, open houses, program parties, third party events).
Oversee event ticket sales and sponsorships.
Assist with on-site event management, including setup, coordination, volunteer oversight, and troubleshooting.
Conduct post-event evaluations and prepare event reports tracking sponsorships, attendance, revenue, expenses, and feedback.
Manage communications for events and outreach efforts.
Collaborate with the Philanthropy Team to create engaging marketing collateral for events, donor campaigns, and outreach (flyers, newsletters, press releases).
Curate participant stories, event photos, and program highlights for newsletters, social media, blogs, and donor impact reports.
Ensure consistency of messaging in all marketing and outreach efforts.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, ideally in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit events, community engagement, development, sales or a related area.
Excellent public speaking, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Experience with DonorPerfect, Canva, Constant Contact, and social media platforms preferred.
Able to work independently and with a team.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods during events.
Ability to pass background checks, including a pre-employment Local Background Check and a continuous Level II Background Check
Ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including a Drug/Alcohol Screening and a Tuberculosis Screening
