Job summary

GRX Holdings, LLC in West Des Moines seeks a Director of Operations to lead pharmacy operations across Medicap stores in Iowa. This licensed Pharmacist role focuses on improving patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, and profitability while coaching managers and building leadership talent.

You will drive process improvements using Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen, develop SOPs, ensure immunization and MTM services, and collaborate with senior leaders to align operations with strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist with an active, unrestricted license in good standing.
• Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• At least 5 years in pharmacy operations leadership with focus on process improvement, regulatory compliance, and talent development.
• Current immunization certification and CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution and hold managers to defined operational goals and metrics.
• Provide pharmacist coverage at locations during staffing shortages to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Coordinate float pharmacist scheduling with managers to plan coverage and minimize disruptions.
• Assess operations, identify improvements, and develop strategies for efficiency and patient safety.
• Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar frameworks.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management on performance.
• Maintain active state pharmacist licenses and required certifications including immunization and CPR.
