Job summary

Amerita is seeking a Pharmacy Director to oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, including logistics and inventory, while collaborating with sales and leadership to implement strategic plans. The role requires a valid pharmacist license and hospital/home health care supervisory experience, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory/management experience in a hospital or home health care setting.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D is required.
• Excellent organization and communications skills.
• Knowledge of home infusion pharmacy regulations and USP 797 considerations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall operational performance of the assigned Amerita pharmacy.
• Establish and maintain customer experience standards of care and ensure safe, cost-effective practices.
• Optimize staff productivity and manage schedules based on business volume.
• Hire, coach, evaluate, and discipline branch staff.
• Coordinate with Vertical Directors to review performance of staff within a Vertical.
• Direct pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with policies, laws, and accreditation standards.
• Support preparation for pharmacy accreditation and ongoing compliance.
• Collaborate with warehouse and distribution to meet delivery goals and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor branch performance through audits and customer feedback.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance of the pharmacy facility.
• Oversee inventory control of prescriptions and controlled substances.
