Job summary

Hannaford in Queensbury, NY seeks a Pharmacist to oversee the pharmacy department, supervise associates, and ensure compliant operations. This role requires a pharmacy degree, current license, and immunizing certification.

You will partner with store management, provide patient counseling, process prescriptions, immunizations, and maintain safety standards while delivering excellent service to customers.

Flexibility to work a retail schedule including nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Current license in good standing in the state(s) where practice is required.
• Current immunizing pharmacist certification.
• Complete knowledge of state and Federal pharmacy laws.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Managers and other associates.
• Responsible for professional and business operations within the pharmacy department.
• Identify store level sales and marketing opportunities with the Store Manager.
• Supervise the performance of duties and responsibilities of all pharmacy associates.
• Ensure adequate staffing and training of pharmacy personnel.
• Observe and adhere to all Company policies and the Pharmacy Standard Practice Manual.
• Perform immunizations according to Company's standards.
