Job summary

The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) seeks a permanent, full-time Coast Region Director to act as chief operating officer and regional administrator for the Coast Region. You will oversee all OPRD business and operations in the region, providing leadership through planning, standards, and staff supervision to deliver the agency’s mission.

Qualified candidates have five years of management experience (or two years with a bachelor’s degree).

Qualifications

• Five years of management experience.
• Two years of management experience AND a bachelor’s degree.
• Criminal record and driving record check required at hire and during employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations for the Coast Region, supervise staff, and ensure the agency mission is delivered.
• Provide strategic planning and establish operational standards for the region.
• Collaborate with NGOs, other agencies and partners to complete agency projects.
