Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking a Clinical Manager to oversee a group of Optometrists across a defined geographic area, driving clinical excellence and patient experience.

The role blends in-clinic patient care (60%) with dedicated leadership (40%), and includes hiring, coaching, and staffing oversight across approximately 40 offices in GA/SC/Asheville, NC with 1–2 days of travel per week. You will mentor early-career Optometrists, influence care standards, and collaborate with operations, HR, and workforce

Qualifications

• OD degree with current licensure.
• 5+ years optometry experience with leadership in multi-site environments.
• Broad clinical exposure across doctors, locations, or modalities.
• 2+ years influencing and collaborating with other doctors.
• 2+ years leading end-to-end initiatives such as onboarding or process improvements.
• 2+ years using clinical/operational data to influence outcomes.
• Willingness to travel regionally up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-clinic patient care at your primary office each week and cover alternate locations as needed.
• Conduct structured clinical observations focused on efficiency, diagnosis and treatment.
• Document and share findings to provide timely coaching remediation plans.
• Reinforce consistent patient experience and clinical standards across your assigned offices.
• Reinforce Optometrist scheduling expectations and address gaps in coverage.
• Partner with operations leaders to balance patient care with business performance.
• Interview candidates for openings and onboard new Optometrists.
• Mentor Optometrists in early years of practice.
