Job summary

MyEyeDr. in Aberdeen, MD is seeking a General Manager to lead a busy optical practice with a focus on patient experience, financial performance, and team development.

You will partner with doctors, vendors, and staff to drive KPI results, coach others, and ensure smooth office operations. Ideal candidates have undergraduate or equivalent leadership experience, 2+ years in a leadership role, and a proven ability to manage teams and sales in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or relevant years of experience in a management position (Retail/Hospitality strongly preferred).
• 2+ years in a leadership facing role serving as the main decision maker.
• Experience leading two or more employees to help achieve sales and operational objectives.
• Experience driving business and sales operations in a complex, customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and foster a purpose driven team through recruitment, onboarding, training and development.
• Direct responsibility for financial success of the office through managing behaviours that drive KPI performance.
• Collaborate with doctors, home office support, and staff to provide seamless patient experience.
• Deliver KPI results with flawless execution of patient experiences and provide in-the-moment coaching to others.
• Maximize optometric partnerships through participation in coverage and doctor availability.
• Lead Doctor of Optometry partnerships and ongoing relationships.
• Maintain HR policies and compliance to promote productive and safe work environment.
• Lead performance and development in partnership with the District Manager for all team members.
• Ensure optical merchandise meets standards and patient requirements.
