Job summary

CMC is seeking an Area Operations Manager to lead multi-facility operations across regions. You will oversee safety, productivity, and financial performance while guiding teams through continuous improvement initiatives and strong governance.

You will manage inventory, logistics, and invoicing, using P&L data and Power BI to drive decisions and growth across facilities. A Bachelor’s in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of operational leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution, or a related environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to review and discuss results and P&L statements.
• Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and operational performance tools.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and employee development.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset and maintain good housekeeping across branches while driving productivity.
• Ensure financial returns meet expectations and support location goals.
• Drive growth by maximizing output and controlling costs while balancing customer service and quality.
• Lead cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
• Uphold internal controls and daily operations across branches.
• Oversee inventory control, shipping/receiving, logistics, and invoicing processes.
• Hold team accountable for business results.
• Utilize P&L, sales/ordering reports, and Power BI to measure progress.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a strong branch staff.
