Job summary

Mazak Corporation is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the Western Region Technology Center in Gardena, CA. You will drive daily operations, oversee demonstrations, training, and customer support, and partner with Sales, Service, and Applications to advance business goals.

You will supervise staff, develop talent, manage budget plans, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering a best-in-class experience for customers and employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum 7 years of manufacturing/industrial operations experience.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership/management experience with supervision.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and multi-project coordination.
• Direct experience in machine tool/manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the Western Region Technology Center.
• Develop and implement plans, priorities, and schedules to meet objectives.
• Monitor performance and drive process improvements and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Supervise and develop center personnel; conduct performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Applications, Service, and other departments to support projects.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and long-term planning.
• Coordinate events, demonstrations, and training activities.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, workforce planning, and resource allocation.
