Job summary

Relief Mental Health is seeking a Regional Director of Operations to oversee the performance, growth, and success of clinics in the assigned region. You will lead through Clinic Managers, developing independent leaders who own their clinic's results, patient experience, and operational performance.

You will partner with the Regional Clinical Director and executive teams to ensure staffing, capacity, and infrastructure align with demand and growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of healthcare operations experience, including experience leading multiple locations or managing managers.
• Behavioral health, psychiatry, or specialty outpatient healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to grow patient volume and operational performance in a multi-location environment.
• Experience with workforce planning, hiring, and supporting organizational growth.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Own census, visit volume, operational performance, and growth across clinics and service lines within the region.
• Establish performance expectations with Clinic Managers, support and hold them accountable for achieving goals.
• Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities or barriers affecting clinic growth, capacity, patient access, and retention.
• Develop and oversee action plans for clinics that do not meet expectations.
• Partner with Clinical Leadership, Marketing, and Business Development to support patient growth and referral development.
• Ensure clinics have the operational capacity to support current and anticipated patient demand.
• Work with the Regional Clinical Director to match provider schedules and templates to patient demand.
• Hire, develop, coach, and evaluate Clinic Managers.
• Build Clinic Managers into independent leaders who understand their business, own their results, make sound decisions, and effectively manage their teams.
• Establish clear expectations and accountability for clinic leadership.
