Job Description
  • The Regional Operations Director, Pacific Region, is responsible for leading the daily operations across a number of Altium’s manufacturing facilities. The leader in this role is responsible for developing, communicating and deploying effective plant manufacturing strategies and processes that enable achievement of safety, financial, production, and employment goals. Provide leadership to multiple plant leaders; meet or exceed Profit & Loss goals.
  • This role will be responsible for multiple plants in California and Washington. The ideal candidate will be located in Northern or Southern California.
  • Essential Function - Roles/Responsibilities:
  • Inspires a safety culture, ensure a safe work environment and cultivate safe behavior.
  • Develop a continuous improvement culture utilizing lean manufacturing principles.
  • Direct and support plant managers and leaders to improve production process, quality and on-time delivery.
  • Reviews & audits plant processes to ensure compliance with customer specification and agreements.
  • Routinely review documents and processes to ensure cost effectiveness of operations.
  • Ensures plant leaders take action to resolve plant manufacturing inefficiencies.
  • Set & meet annual goals to improve year-over-year manufacturing metrics and results.
  • Creates a customer focus culture and take prompt efficient steps to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Engages customers in assigned region and ensure they are driving force behind business decisions.
  • Coordinates activities to prepare & meet budgetary requirements.
  • Collaborates with manufacturing services to commercialize new business within budget and specification.
  • Take action to determine leaders gap in current skills and strengths requirement.
  • Works with regional leaders to identify areas for development and deploy development plans.
  • Assesses direct reports skills and knowledge, provides feedback on performance and will drive and provide practical support to their annual development and goal achievement.
  • Collaborates and interacts with sales leaders and other support personnel.
  • Attract, recruit and retain talented candidates.
  • Travel up to 50-75% of time. 2-3 weeks a month.
Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree (Industrial Management or Engineering or Psychology is preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 10 + years experience working in plant leadership role.
  • 5+ years of plant management experience.
  • Multi-site management experience.
  • Build/Lead a team.
  • Create a business plan.
  • Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
  • Lead a geographically dispersed team.
  • Manage a start-up or expansion.
  • Manage a turnaround/“fix-it”.
  • Resolve a difficult conflict.
