We’re looking for a dynamic and effective Director of Operations with strong leadership skills, a knack for clear communication, a focus on upstream design and the ability to manage complex projects. Please note - while this role is fully remote - you will be supporting a mix of PST/HST time zones.

What you’ll be doing (your impact):

  • Drive Strategic Effectiveness: Partner closely with senior leadership to shape and implement strategic goals, initiatives, and organizational policies that ensure smooth and impactful operations across our organization.
  • Empower Leadership: Provide high-level administrative and deliverable support to our CEO, enabling their effectiveness and impact.
  • Be a Key Connector: Serve as a central point of contact, fostering clear and authentic communication both within our organization and with our valued external partners.
  • Lead with Impact: Initiate, oversee, and expertly manage key projects and project portfolios, ensuring they align with our mission, stay on track, and deliver meaningful results within budget.
  • Ensure Financial Health: Effectively budget, monitor revenue and expenditure, and proactively manage costs for crucial projects.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Cultivate trusted and collaborative relationships with stakeholders, partners, and external organizations, representing the CEO with authenticity and impact in various settings.
  • Champion Proactive Solutions: Develop and implement systems and processes to identify and navigate risks, crises, and emergencies with confidence and effectiveness.

Qualifications

Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:

We believe humans with a diverse range of experiences may be suited for the work at hand. This role is suited for an experienced operations leader who has a proven track record of effectively implementing strategic initiatives, building strong collaborative relationships across diverse teams and with external partners, and fostering a positive and growth-oriented environment. Experience in the nonprofit sector or with organizations serving individuals with disabilities is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with colleagues, staff, individuals we support, and external partners, both verbally and in writing, using the primary language of the workplace. This includes the ability to actively listen and share information clearly to foster collaboration and connection, which are central to our community-centered values. The role also involves the frequent use of digital communication tools, such as computers and cell phones, to ensure efficient and effective operations and to stay connected with our team and stakeholders. Conditions of Employment

  • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
  • Must attend any required training.

$156,000 - $205,000 Annually
