Job summary

The State of Indiana is seeking a Regional Assistant to support the Regional Manager across multiple BMV branch locations in Michigan City, IN. You will ensure office efficiency, respond to inquiries, maintain schedules, and monitor branch operations as part of a dynamic government workforce.

What success looks like includes effective communication, handling escalated complaints, and mentoring regional staff while advancing service quality and policy adherence within the BMV network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of related experience may be considered.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to respond to calls and emails.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; Stars familiarity.
• Knowledge of BMV services and policy procedures.
• Willing to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Regional Manager's daily schedule.
• Respond to customer calls and emails.
• Resolve escalated complaints.
• Monitor branch inventory and training progress.
• Assist with reports and daily operations.
• Provide guidance on BMV policies.
• Mentor and support regional staff.
