Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is seeking a Safety Specialist III for the Region 4 Safety Work Unit in Northeastern Colorado. The role focuses on developing and maintaining safety programs, performing inspections and analyses, and guiding hazard controls and training for the workforce.

Responsibilities include hazard evaluation, data review, and coordination with safety committees, with a strong emphasis on compliance, training, and continuous improvement across multiple facilities

Formación

• At least 6 years of experience related to occupational health and safety or industrial hygiene.
• At least 1 year of this experience must have a primary focus in occupational safety.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain tracking systems for Region safety programs.
• Perform safety inspections, audits, and evaluations.
• Identify and document workplace hazards and corrective actions.
• Evaluate hazard-control measures and track training.
• Provide technical safety guidance to Region safety initiatives.
• Serve on the Region Safety Committee and Accident Review Board.
