Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Regional Nurse Manager (RN) to support the West Texas Region, including El Paso, Midland, Odessa, and surrounding markets. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with travel to multiple sites and some remote days. No weekends, calls, or major holidays.

Travel about 40% across the region, with on-site needs in Abilene. The ideal candidate will have BSN/MSN, RN license, 5+ years nursing, 3+ years oncology, and leadership experience; OCN certification preferred

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN or MSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Minimum 5 years actively practicing as a registered nurse.
  • 3 years of oncology experience preferred.
  • 3 years of leadership experience preferred.
  • OCN certification preferred; required within 24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clinical operations align with organizational objectives.
  • Support practice management on operational projects and quality initiatives.
  • Facilitate outcomes data and evidence-based practice adoption.
  • Implement standardized best practices across the organization.
  • Ensure care standards align with community standards of care.

Overview

Texas Oncology is looking for a Regional Nurse Manager (RN) to join our team!This position will support the West Texas Region. This is a full-time Monday-Friday 8am-5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays. The position is hybrid, requiring travel to multiple sites acroosacross the region and someas well as some remote days. The markets within the Region: El Paso, Midland, Odessa, Amarillo, Wichita Falls, Abilene. Abilen-Physically on-site when needed, with a minimum of every other month. (about 40% travel)

What does the Reginoal Nurse Manager (RN) do?

The Regional Nurse Manager will work in conjunction with, and by the direction of, the Director of Nursing Services, if applicable, to provide nursing support for operations to existing practice locations and newly acquired practices by consulting and advising clinicians on best-practices, implementing of/providing education and training programs, and collaborating on interdisciplinary projects. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities:



  • Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectives

  • Collaborates with practice management to provide support on operational projects such as site Quality Committees, Quality Oncology Practice Initiative site assessments,Advancing Care Information, the Oncology Care Model (OCM), and other special projects as assigned.

  • Facilitates the implementation and/or utilization of outcomes data and evidence-based practices

  • Facilitates implementation of standardized best practices within the organization.

  • Ensures practice standards of care are consistent with community standards of care.

  • Ensures the incorporation of clinical evidence into existing and newly developed standards.

  • Staff Development

  • Assess staffing levels and issues, patient flow, current practices in the clinical setting.

  • Assists with the development of company-wide clinical competency testing and skills validation programs.

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee staffing including vacations, sick leave and overtime.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Nurse Manager (RN) will have the following background and experience:



  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.

  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.

  • Minimum 5 years actively practicing as a registered nurse.

  • 3 years of oncology experience PREFERRED

  • 3 years of leadership experience PREFERRED

  • OCN certification preferred: Required within 24 months

  • Current CPR certification required.
