Legacy Healthcare is seeking a seasoned Regional Nurse Consultant to oversee nursing services across multiple facilities in central Iowa. You will collaborate with directors, ensure continuity of care, and monitor facilities for quality and regulatory needs.

The role requires Iowa RN licensure, a Bachelor's degree in nursing, and travel up to 80% within the region. Leadership experience in skilled nursing and multi-site operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing; gerontological nursing training preferred; currently a Licensed Registered Nurse.
• Must be licensed in the State of Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Director of Clinical Services, VP of Operations, Administrators and Directors of Nursing within the region.
• Ensures continuity of nursing services across all assigned facilities.
• Identifies and monitors facilities needing quality and regulatory intervention.
• Leads facilities and regional operations personnel and clinical services staff to improve care delivery and survey results.
• Works with local/state/federal agencies to ensure compliance with current standards.
• Fosters nursing leadership support network; pilots and replicates best practices.
• Spreads performance improvement initiatives; implements policies for Nursing Departments in facilities.
• Travel 80% primarily within central Iowa.

We have an opportunity for a seasoned Regional Nurse Consultant to join our team.

The Regional Nurse Consultant:

• Collaborates with Director of Clinical Services, VP of Operations, Administrators, and Directors of Nursing within the assigned region.
• Ensures continuity of nursing services across all assigned facilities.
• Identifies and monitors facilities with the greatest need for quality and regulatory intervention.
• Leads facilities and regional operations personnel, associated clinical services staff; and interdisciplinary resources through proactive and reactive quality interventions to improve care delivery, customer satisfaction, and survey results minimizing financial penalties, limitations on admission and litigation opportunities.
• Works through local/state/federal agencies, company, and external resources to facilitate clinical competency. Ensures compliance with current industry standards and best practice guidelines.
• Fosters nursing leadership support network.
• Pilots and replicates promising practices.
• Spreads performance improvement initiatives.
• Implements policies and procedures for Nursing Departments in assigned facilities.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, preferred; Specific training in gerontological nursing preferred, currently a Licensed Registered Nurse.
• Must be licensed in the State of Iowa.

Position Requirements
