Job summary

Canacre in the United States seeks a Regional NPDES Plan Development & Permitting Lead to serve as the firm’s senior technical authority on stormwater permitting and erosion and sediment control. You will lead permit strategy, ensure regulatory defensibility, and manage scope, schedule, and budget.

You will mentor junior staff, interact with clients and agencies, coordinate with EPA and state programs, and drive compliant, timely permit delivery across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field.
  • Professional licensure (PE) or CPESC/CPSWQ is a strong asset.
  • 5+ years of professional consulting experience focused on NPDES permitting and stormwater management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of stormwater and ESC plans across jurisdictions, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Author and review NPDES permit applications, SWPPPs, NOIs, and ESC design docs.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide technical oversight to project teams.
  • Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies to secure approvals and respond to inquiries.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget for NPDES and ESC work packages.
