Billings Clinic is seeking a Referral Coordinator - Neurology to oversee referrals from internal and external providers across all service lines. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, regional collaboration, and efficient referral processing.

The position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care. Starting wage is DOE, with a full-time schedule and on-site work in Billings, Montana.

Qualifications

• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge,skills and abilities will be considered.
• 2 years of relevant healthcare experience preferred.
• 1 year of experience at Billings Clinic preferred.
• Proven ability to manage referral processes, including pre-certifications, pre-authorizations, and scheduling, is highly desirable.
• Experience with Cerner and insurance processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding all patient referrals, collaborating with service lines across the region to ensure seamless coordination.
• Act as the system navigator and liaison for patients and families, addressing questions and providing guidance throughout the referral process.
• Maintain accurate tracking and documentation of patient referrals to ensure visibility across teams and communication between departments.
• Ensure accurate registration processes, including verification of demographics and insurance information, to facilitate smooth referral handling.
• Review referral details with patients to ensure understanding of process and timelines.
