Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology to drive our Scientific Operating Priorities. The role is credentialed (PhD/MD) and focuses on Scientific Exchange, Research, and Insights.

You will liaise between the scientific community and Merck to advance approved and investigator-sponsored programs while upholding GCP and SOPs. The position involves engaging national and regional SLs, supporting clinical studies, and traveling

Qualifications

Requires advanced degree in a health sciences field and scientific expertise in Immunology/IBD
Proven ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to external stakeholders
Experience working within FDA guidelines and industry ethics

Responsibilities

Engage with national and regional Scientific Leaders (SLs) to provide approved medical information
Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain medical contacts within the company
Address SL inquiries and route external questions to appropriate company resources
Advise on investigator-sponsored research and company-supported studies
Support scientific congresses and facilitate data exchange
Gather feedback to inform scientific priorities and strategic decisions
