Job summary

Merck is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Respiratory - COPD to drive our scientific exchange strategy across the North East region. You will engage with national and regional Scientific Leaders, provide balanced medical information, and support investigator-initiated studies in alignment with GMSA policies.

Qualifications

• PhD/PharmD/DNP/DO/MD required.
• At least 3 years of relevant COPD/Respiratory experience beyond terminal degree program.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, HIPAA, and ethical guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develops professional relationships with regional Scientific Leaders (SLs) to ensure access to approved medical information.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains a medical contact within the company.
• Directs SL inquiries on issues outside of scope to appropriate resources in line with policies.
• Maintains current knowledge of scientific environment in the AOI of the therapeutic area.
