Job summary

Copper Country Intermediate School District (CCISD) seeks an experienced Regional Director for the MiSTEM Network to guide STEM initiatives in Michigan's Region 16. Based in Hancock, MI, this role partners with schools, industry, and government to expand STEM opportunities for students and educators.

You will lead strategy, manage funding, and oversee regional programs while representing the region at the state level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of STEM experience.
• 2+ years of project or program management experience.
• Experience connecting education with business, industry, or community programs to support learning.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to build partnerships and bring diverse stakeholders together.

Responsibilities

• Lead Regional STEM Strategy and carry out regional goals aligned with MiSTEM strategic plan.
• Build partnerships with schools, businesses, industries, and community organizations.
• Lead the Regional Advisory Board to establish priorities and coordinate resources.
• Collaborate with CCISD and Gogebic-Ontonagon ISD leadership to develop opportunities for students and educators.
• Pursue and manage funding from state, federal, corporate, and philanthropic sources while overseeing budgets and grants.
• Gather and evaluate regional needs and program results to guide decisions and improve initiatives.
• Represent the region with policymakers and MiSTEM leadership to advance statewide initiatives.
• Promote STEM opportunities through regional communications and outreach.
