Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Immunology with focus on Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

This role drives scientific exchange, research collaboration, and congress support within a national scope, reporting to the Medical Affairs leadership. You will liaise with scientific leaders, provide balanced medical information, support investigator-initiated studies, and contribute to strategic priorities while adhering to GMSA policies and SOPs.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
• Three years of Immunology (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) experience beyond the degree program.
• Excellent verbal and written communications with external stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other regulations in pharma.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Engages with national and regional SLs to provide approved medical information.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains a medical contact network.
• Directs SL inquiries on grants and other non-product questions.
• Keeps current knowledge of AOIs and therapeutic areas.
