Alignment Health is seeking a Regional Medical Director to lead performance across markets, partnering with networks and providers to drive value-based care, quality, and utilization improvements.

The role requires MD/DO with active license, 5+ years clinical practice and 3–5 years in leadership within managed care. Hybrid work location with strong data-driven strategy and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years of leadership in managed care or related settings.
• MD or DO with active medical license in applicable state(s).
• Board certification in an ABMS or AOA-recognized specialty.
• Experience with Medicare Advantage operations and value-based care.
• Familiarity with HEDIS, Stars, risk adjustment and related frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as physician leader supporting performance across markets and provider networks.
• Analyze clinical, operational, financial, and quality data to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Lead discussions with providers to drive accountability and improvement.
• Promote population health strategies and value-based care performance.
• Collaborate with Network Management, Quality, Risk Adjustment and Analytics teams.
• Support documentation accuracy and chronic disease management initiatives.
• Participate in market and organizational committees and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicare Advantage, CMS regulations and Stars requirements.
