Job summary

Carbon Health is seeking an Area Medical Director to lead clinical and operational performance across 10–15 clinics in a multi‑state market. The role combines hands‑on patient care with high‑level leadership, delivering quality care, provider development, and strong patient experiences while driving financial results.

You will manage a team of Center Medical Directors, partner with operations, and report to national clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) or eligible for practice.
• 5+ years of clinical leadership in urgent care, emergency medicine, or similar settings.
• Exposure to the business side of medicine (schedules, staffing, budgets) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical and operational performance of 10–15 clinics.
• Lead Center Medical Directors and work with operations and national clinical leadership.
• Maintain hands‑on clinical practice ~10 hours/week and drive quality, safety, and patient experience.
