Job summary

Millennium Physician Group in Florida seeks a Regional Medical Assistant Floater (CMA/RMA) to support clinical delivery across Manatee and Sarasota Counties. You will manage patient rooming, visit prep, and chart review to ensure smooth provider encounters and timely follow-up.

Travel between 6 clinics is required to cover shifts. CMA/RMA certification and BLS are preferred; EHR proficiency and strong teamwork are essential as you drive care quality and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 4–6 years in medical assistant/ambulatory care.
• CMA/RMA certification or equivalent registration is required.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred.
• Specialized knowledge of ambulatory clinical support workflows and documentation standards.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and care team coordination tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient rooming, intake, visit preparation, and clinical documentation workflows for routine and non-routine patient visits.
• Support complex clinic flow by anticipating provider needs and coordinating procedure preparation.
• Perform and document point-of-care testing, specimen handling, medication support, and clinical tasks with high accuracy.
• Review patient charts, care gaps, and visit readiness information to support efficient encounters and timely follow-up.
• Support quality improvement projects and care gap outreach within clinical protocols.
• Provide guidance to newer staff on clinical procedures, EHR workflows, safety practices, and site standards.
• Investigate and resolve non-routine issues affecting documentation and patient flow.
