Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking a Medical Assistant Front Desk Float to support multiple GI offices in Illinois. You will assist physicians with patient care, handle clerical tasks, check-in/out, schedule coordination, and ensure accurate charting and EMR updates across the region.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, medical assistant training, and at least 1 year of facility experience; GI practice exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or MA diploma from an accredited program.
• Minimum one year of experience in a medical facility as a medical assistant; gastroenterology preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR systems and medical office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills patient care responsibilities including patient flow, exams, and assisting physicians.
• Fulfills clerical responsibilities such as charting, scheduling, and processing forms.
• Fulfills organizational responsibilities including patient rights and emergency response.
• Supports other duties as assigned.
