Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking a Hybrid Floating-Medicaid Specialist to support Medicaid eligibility processes across assigned nursing centers in the Lanham, MD area. In this regional role, you will guide centers through pre-admission to discharge workflows and help optimize revenue cycle performance.

The position emphasizes training, collaboration with center staff and caseworkers, and deep knowledge of asset limits and state Medicaid rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing home bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide Medicaid eligibility support across assigned nursing centers and improve revenue cycle functions from pre-admission to discharge.
• Train and support center staff on Medicaid processes, policies, and best practices.
• Identify center-specific challenges hindering timely Medicaid collections and collaborate with staff and caseworkers to resolve them.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies to optimize revenue collection.
