Job summary

Medical Facilities of America in Central Virginia seeks a Regional Director of Clinical Reimbursement (MDS) to oversee MDS and reimbursement across multiple facilities. You will lead MDS teams, ensure compliant, timely assessments and monitor PDPM trends for optimization.

The role requires an active RN license in Virginia, strong MDS/clinical reimbursement experience, and travel regionally to assigned facilities. Leadership development and career advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in Virginia.
• Proven MDS coordination and clinical reimbursement experience.
• Expert knowledge of MDS 3.0, PDPM, RAI and Medicare/Medicaid rules.
• Strong analytical, leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to train and mentor interdisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional oversight and leadership to facility MDS and clinical reimbursement teams.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of MDS assessments per regulations.
• Monitor case mix, PDPM categories and reimbursement trends to optimize performance.
• Conduct audits and provide feedback to maintain compliance and documentation integrity.
• Develop and deliver training for facility MDS staff on documentation and RAI processes.
• Collaborate with Regional and Company Leadership to identify improvements and implement initiatives.
• Partner with clinical and finance teams to align care, documentation and reimbursement outcomes.
• Participate in QAPI initiatives to promote excellence in resident care.
