Job summary

SNF Staffing Solutions is seeking a results-driven MDS Consultant to provide clinical leadership across multiple facilities in the United States. You will lead MDS training, program reviews, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, reporting to senior clinicians in Texas and coordinating with the Compliance Team.

The role requires RN licensure, an associate or bachelor’s in nursing, and extensive experience in MDS within long-term or acute care, including multi-facility

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state you practice.
• Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Minimum of five (5) years in long-term or acute health care.
• Minimum of five (5) years working as an MDS Nurse in long-term or acute health care.
• At least three (3) years of multi-facility, regional MDS experience.

Responsibilities

• Consults with and provides technical assistance to the MDS Coordinators through visits and interpretation of policies and regulations.
• Trains new MDS Coordinators in resident assessments, plans of care, and documentation of clinical records.
• Trains on the RAI manual and deadlines for resident assessments and completion of MDSs.
• Observes MDS practices for compliance with standards and regulations.
• Inspects facilities and nursing practices for compliance with nursing standards and regulations.
• May assume interim MDS Coordinator role as needed.
• Train facility MDS on company best practices and ensure compliant billing.
• Lead facility management and consultants in developing a business plan focusing on all clinical operations.
• Develop and monitor quality metrics and benchmarks for quality of care.
• Advise Clinical Support Team and Director of Nursing to maximize resident wellbeing.
• Develop standardized processes to reduce variability and improve patient care and safety.
• Develop and monitor quality management policies and QM data reporting.

5+ years health care experience
