Job summary

Confidential Healthcare Organization is seeking a Regional MDS Coordinator (RN) to lead MDS programs across multiple SNFs in the Cincinnati region. The role requires advanced expertise in MDS 3.0, RAI assessments, PDPM and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, analytical, and coaching skills, with 5+ years of MDS/RAI experience and Ohio RN licensure. Travel throughout the region is expected.

Qualifications

• Current and active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 5 years of MDS/RAI experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities or Long-Term Care.
• Prior Regional MDS Coordinator leadership or equivalent multi-facility role.
• AANAC certification strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Cincinnati region.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and clinical leadership for MDS programs across multiple long-term care and SNFs.
• Serve as regional expert for MDS, RAI, PDPM, case mix management, and reimbursement systems.
• Oversee MDS operations and reimbursement performance across facilities.
• Conduct audits to ensure CMS/state compliance and reimbursement requirements.
• Mentor MDS Coordinators, Directors of Nursing, and care teams.
• Deliver education on MDS coding, documentation standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Support survey readiness and implement corrective action plans as needed.
• Analyze reimbursement trends and develop strategies to improve clinical and financial performance.
• Collaborate with facility leadership to enhance resident outcomes and quality measures.
