Job summary

Venable LLP in Chicago and Miami is seeking a Regional Marketing Specialist to implement marketing and business development strategies for the firm’s Chicago and Miami offices and associated attorneys. The role involves creating best practices, supporting initiatives, conducting market research, and developing content for events and marketing materials.

It requires coordinating events, pursuing speaking opportunities, and delivering reports with the Marketing Intelligence team.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years' related experience, preferably at a law firm or similar professional services environment.
Bachelor's degree in related field or education/experience equivalent.
Intermediate to advanced skills with databases and PC applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Working knowledge of website/database/ intranet technology and mass email distribution software
General understanding of marketing concepts and ability to develop, implement, and track results of attorney and short/long-term business development and marketing activity
Skills to manage large internal and external events
Ability to travel to various marketing/firm events/meetings

Responsibilities

Create and maintain best practices to enhance the Marketing team's value and Venable's position in markets.
Assist with short- and long-term marketing initiatives.
Conduct qualitative business research and summarize results for Marketing Intelligence, supervisors, and attorneys.
Identify opportunities for branding and profile-raising of regional attorneys.
Develop content for event and non-event marketing materials (brochures, emails, etc.).
Help manage and execute marketing events timely and effectively.
Identify and secure external conference speaking opportunities for attorneys.
Develop practice group or office-specific pitch materials and responses to RFPs.
Prepare marketing reports and maintain spreadsheets for tracking and management purposes.
Use InterAction CRM to track business development activities.
Collaborate with BD team to manage attorney activities and develop business plans.
