Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Regional Manager in the Houston, TX area to lead Multifamily Property Management. You will recruit, train, and supervise Property Managers, drive portfolio strategy, and monitor financial performance across assigned properties.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 2–4 years in senior leadership, and oversight of budgets, contracts, and operations. Up to 50% travel and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, property management, or related field preferred.
• 2-4 years in a senior leadership role managing multiple properties or large portfolios.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Certifications such as ARM, RAM, CAM, CPM, CAPS, NAHP, HCCP preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and property/accounting software; strong communication and supervisory skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and manage site staff and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and supervise Property Managers and oversee portfolio strategy.
• Develop annual budgets and monitor financial performance against plans.
• Review expenditures, negotiate contracts, and ensure accountability within budgets.
• Lead performance evaluations and coordinate staffing for new communities.
• Communicate across Sr. Regional Manager, SVP, Asset Management, and Central Office.
• Monitor marketing, occupancy, and rent schedules; ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Inspect properties, oversee maintenance quality, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in transitions, staff setup, and liaison with Owners or Representatives.
