Job summary

Brakes Plus is seeking a Regional Manager to lead the Des Moines market, partnering with Store Managers to drive sales, profitability, and a best-in-class customer experience.

You will oversee multiple stores, recruit and retain talent, manage schedules and payroll, coach staff, review performance, and ensure safety and adherence to Brakes Plus standards.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication, budgeting, and leadership, with a proven history of exceeding business objectives.

Brakes Plus was founded in 1990 with a single store in South Denver. Today Brakes Plus has nearly 200 stores across Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Iowa. This market will be in the Greater Des Moines area with 5 stores and growing.

Job Description

The Regional Manager, reporting to the Regional Director, supports operations in the Des Moines, Iowa market. This will involve creating a highly motivated team environment and working closely with your Store Managers to improve their performance, so they are able to efficiently develop team members, executing store processes, while ensuring that we continue to provide an industry leading customer experience. Your region can include multiple cities and/or states. Other duties will include recruiting and retaining talent in your market and implementing sales strategies and supporting the overall success of their stores.

Primary Responsibilitiesinclude (but are not limited to):

• Primary responsibility will be to oversee Brakes Pluslocations in assigned region.
• Meeting or exceeding sales and profit goals
• Staffing your region with the strong employees
• Retaining your team, and ensure people are in the right positions
• Responsible for employee reviews and personnel issues
• Resolving customer complaints
• Review, approve, and control payroll through scheduling, payroll reports, and percentages
• Creates a highly motivated team environment/climate
• Coaching and training using S&P’s
• Evaluating performance and productivity of all personnel
• Ensuring store safety, including the use of and maintenance of safety equipment
