National Gypsum Company, based in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Regional Manufacturing Manager to direct ProForm manufacturing initiatives across sites and guide plant managers. You will drive safety, quality, budgeting, and continuous improvement aligned with corporate goals.

The role requires on-site work, travel up to 50%, and a proven leadership track in gypsum/building products with strong budgeting skills. Relocation assistance is eligible; competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Job description

The primary responsibility of this Charlotte, NC based Regional Manufacturing Manager is to direct and manage manufacturing initiatives for the ProForm business, while providing support and vision to plant managers. As a key resource, you will ensure safe and productive operations while driving continuous improvement for the business. The successful individual will oversee all ProForm manufacturing sites in the following areas:

• Hiring initiatives and staff turnover
• Safety & Compliance – Environmental, OSHA, FM Global
• Process & Quality
• Budgeting & Spending
• Capital Planning
• Strategic Growth Initiatives

RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):

• Execute manufacturing excellence initiatives through its direct reports and local teams
• Ensure assigned plants are operating safely, meet environmental & quality regulatory compliance in alignment with National Gypsum’s core values
• Encourage and Support Programs that Create and Maintain a Union Free environment
• Set goals, share best practices and ensure corporate objectives are followed
• Coach manufacturing leadership teams with regards to manufacturing excellence tools and techniques as required
• Work with Operations Accounting and Plant managers to set and meet plant budget
• Assess plant capital needs to maximize productivity, improve safety, support sustainability goals and improve network capacity.
• Represent manufacturing operations in corporate meetings, including quality, supply planning, safety, technology improvement, logistics and finance.
• Ensure application of best practices throughout the business unit and elevate as required
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Safety oriented and focused
• BS degree in Engineering or Business, MBA preferred
• 10 years of successful joint compound, gypsum manufacturing process, or other relevant building product industry and management experience.
• Full understanding of manufacturing materials and budgeting.
• Proven leader with ability to manage and staff and financial resources.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with plant staff and leaders of the organization.
• Ability to work on-site.
• Ability to travel 50% of the time.

Competitive Salary, with a general salary range of $160,380.00 to $213,840.00 or higher depending on education and experience.
