Job summary

National Gypsum Co. is seeking a skilled supervisor for gypsum production to lead shift teams, ensure safety, and maintain high productivity. The role requires strong supervisory abilities and experience with gypsum processes and SAP reporting.

Responsibilities include overseeing operations, ensuring quality, coordinating maintenance, and enforcing safety rules while supporting a culture of teamwork and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Computer skills and SAP knowledge.
• Gypsum process and mechanical operations knowledge.
• 3–5 years Gypsum plant experience.
• Strong supervisory and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise subordinates in gypsum production to improve productivity.
• Ensure production of quality products meeting company requirements.
• Maintain plant operations and security when supervision is absent.
• Identify and correct maintenance problems affecting productivity.
• Record shift activities accurately to assist others in evaluating quality, process, maintenance and personnel problems.
• Motivate personnel to promote morale, housekeeping and productivity.
• Ensure a safe working environment through safety training and inspections.
• Coordinate training of shift personnel for safety and productivity.
• Responsible for SAP production reporting and raw material inventories.
• Enforce plant work rules and attendance policy.

Job description

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):

• Supervise subordinates in the gypsum production process to ensure production standards are met or exceeded and improve productivity through more efficient use of personnel, raw materials, equipment, and process.
• Supervise the production of quality products that meet Company requirements.
• Responsible for plant operations and security of the facility when plant supervision is not at the plant.
• Identifyand correct immediate maintenance problems, in the absence of the maintenance supervisor, thateffectproductivity and quality of products.
• Communicate with plant personnel throughaccurateand thorough recording of shift activities toassistother personnel in evaluating quality, process, maintenance, and personnel problems.
• Motivate personnel in a manner that effectively promotes good morale, housekeeping, and high productivity.
• Ensure a safe working environment through effective safety training, safetyregulationsenforcement and safety inspections.
• Coordinate training of all shift personnel tomaintainsafety, product quality, and maximize productivity.
• Responsible foraccurateSAP production reporting and raw material inventories.
• Responsible for administering plant work rules and attendance disciplinary policy.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Computer skills and working knowledge of SAP,preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Gypsum process and mechanical operations preferred.
• At least 3-5 years' Gypsum plant experience.
• Excellent supervisory and communication skills.
• Good troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of Safety Plus
• Willingto activelyparticipateand promote a team environment.
• Priority emphasis placed on safety.
• Ability to enforce all plant safety and productivity goals, including plant policies/procedures.
• Willingness and ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities, sometimes involving high stress situations.
• Ability to interact with all levels of management.

Competitive Salary, with a general salary range of $80,784.00 to $100,980.00, or higher depending on education and experience.
