Job summary

Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services (PCHAS) seeks a Development Officer to maximize philanthropic support in Western Missouri, spanning from Branson to Springfield and toward Kansas City. This full-time, exempt role reports to the Director of Development and focuses on major gifts from individuals, churches, and service organizations.

Based in Kansas City, you will build donor relationships, coordinate events, track progress with reports, and help sustain capital projects and endowments

Qualifications

• Experience maximizing philanthropic support from major donors, churches, and organizations.
• Ability to cultivate donor relationships and solicit gifts effectively.
• Familiarity with donor tracking and reporting in a CRM system.

Responsibilities

• Maximize philanthropic support from major donors, churches, and businesses.
• Record actions related to donor cultivation in the NXT data base.
• Engage 90 major donors and 50 congregations quarterly with contact in person, by phone, or note.
• Host 10+ PCHAS Gatherings per year and annual fundraising luncheons in KC and Springfield.
• Recruit and train Volunteer-advocates for the agency's mission.
• Meet or exceed annual fundraising goals for the Western Missouri region.
