Job summary

Caltrans is seeking a Regional Manager of Maintenance Support in San Joaquin County. The role reports to the Office Chief and oversees district-wide Maintenance Support functions, including fleet optimization, facilities management, and LOS performance.

The position emphasizes leadership, coordination with internal and external partners, and maintaining statewide policy compliance. Telework is possible at Caltrans’ discretion; in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• Must have valid California Driver's License (CDL).
• Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. Applications failing to submit the SOQ will be disqualified.
• No specific degree required; focus on management and maintenance leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Maintenance Support functions district-wide, including fleet optimization, facilities, and LOS performance.
• Coordinate hazardous materials, landscape programs, and storm water compliance.
• Lead and guide a multidisciplinary workforce to ensure efficient, compliant operations across the district.
