Job description

Position Title: Regional Maintenance Manager

Take ownership of maintenance operations at scale and build the systems, standards, and team that keep a residential portfolio running at its best. A well-established multifamily property management organization is seeking a Regional Maintenance Manager to provide hands-on leadership and strategic oversight across its residential portfolio. This role leads maintenance operations, preventive maintenance, property inspections, vendor management, safety, training, budgeting, and process improvement while ensuring teams consistently deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality work

The ideal candidate is an experienced multifamily maintenance leader who understands the work from the ground up, can confidently coach technicians through complex repairs, and knows how to bring structure to a fast-moving environment. This person must be highly organized, solutions-oriented, technically capable, and proactive enough to identify patterns before they become problems

Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 / Year DOE

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations across a large multifamily residential portfolio, ensuring consistent standards, policies, and procedures
• Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to maintenance personnel while holding teams accountable for quality, productivity, and safety
• Oversee work orders, unit turns, preventive maintenance, repairs, property inspections, and larger maintenance projects
• Develop and implement maintenance SOPs, training manuals, processes, and recurring training programs to improve consistency across the organization
• Coordinate preventive maintenance programs, safety initiatives, required inspections, and corrective work while ensuring proper documentation and follow-through
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including vetting providers, monitoring performance, evaluating pricing, and controlling repair and maintenance costs
• Analyze maintenance trends, budgets, inventory, and repair methods to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and prevent recurring issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of residential property maintenance oversight experience supporting multiple multi-family properties
• Strong hands-on maintenance knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot repairs, guide technicians, and provide practical technical training
• Proven leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing maintenance teams
• Strong working knowledge of Yardi and Microsoft 365
• Experience vetting vendors, evaluating repair costs, managing budgets, and identifying cost-effective solutions
• Ability to conduct safety meetings, technical training, and ongoing employee development
