Job summary

Allure HCS is seeking a Regional Maintenance professional to oversee the maintenance department across our center network. You will plan, direct, and evaluate maintenance programs, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and timely completion of tasks at Allure of Mendota, Peru, Pinecrest, Zion SNF/SLF.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with other departments, review plans, and implement preventive maintenance while upholding a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• 5-10 years of building experience as a maintenance director.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Licensure in accordance with current standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the maintenance department.
• Oversee documentation, work orders, and facility operations.
• Coordinate maintenance with other departments and establish preventive maintenance.
• Repair facility/resident property as necessary.

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance-related tasks, ensuring protocols and procedures are followed, and communicating issues and needs for capital expenditure.

About the Role:

As a Regional Maintenance professional, you will play a critical role in maintaining the facilities and equipment of our centers at Allure of Mendota, Allure of Peru, Allure of Pinecrest, Allure of Zion SNF and SLF. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the maintenance department, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance personnel follow established safety regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the maintenance department
• Oversee documentation, Tels, workorders, physical review, plant operation, building construction, fire alarm, sprinklers, electrical, plumbing, etc.
• Assume administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for directing the maintenance department
• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments
• Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program
• Repair facility/resident property as necessary
• Inspect storage rooms, workrooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control
• Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as necessary or as may be directed
• Keep abreast of economic conditions/situations and recommend to the Administrator adjustments in maintenance services that assure the continued ability to provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment

Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent required
• 5-10 years of building experience as a maintenance director
• Valid driver's license
• Conduct a background and drug screen
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
• Licensure in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
• Knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in nursing care facilities
• Ability to plan and carry out programs in repair, new construction, and equipment installation
• Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
• Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents, personnel, and support agencies
• Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a medical and physical examination
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum of 50 feet
• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
