Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration, part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, seeks a Program Specialist to lead the VISN 20 Centralized Lung Cancer Screening Program within the VA Portland Health Care System. Responsibilities

• Overall planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing, directing and evaluating the VISN 20 Centralized Lung Cancer Screening Program.
• Advise facility physician and RN leads and provide input on policies and procedures affecting the program.
• Collaborate with Pulmonary, Radiology and Primary Care to implement lung cancer screening across VISN 20.
• Develop strategies for program development and implementation when new technologies are introduced.
• Oversee adherence to national standards and build relationships with health-related groups.
