Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is hiring a Regional Librarian Supervisor for the Golden Triangle branch to oversee daily operations and ensure equitable access to library services for a diverse community.

You will supervise staff, coordinate programming, and manage the location within a growing regional library system, including extended hours and outreach. Strong leadership and customer-service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• MLS degree from an ALA accredited college or university
• Four (4) years of professional library experience
• Two (2) years of administrative and/or lead supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct day-to-day operations and staff to ensure efficient public service
• Provide excellent customer service and help customers locate materials and services
• Interpret policy and procedures and resolve operational and customer issues
• Ensure the location is well-ordered, appealing, and inviting; manage the collection including promotion, maintenance, and weeding
• Supervise staff: plan, assign work, performance management, scheduling, and training
• Plan, implement, and evaluate local outreach programs and services with staff
• Evaluate Library standards and services at the location
• Assist customers with basic computer needs and emerging technologies
• This position will oversee regional operations at the Golden Triangle branch and support expanded seven-day service
