Job summary

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional Area Administrator of Permanency Services for Marion, IL. You will oversee Permanency Team Supervisors and coordinate regional child welfare efforts.

Qualifications

• MSW or master's degree in a related human services field, business administration, or a juris doctorate.
• Four years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with an MSW OR five years with a master's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee administration and integration of child welfare services in the region.
• Maintain authority and accountability for system outcomes and continuity of care.
• Direct, coordinate, and review activities of program personnel.
• Contribute to policies and procedures and ensure their implementation.
• Coordinate community and field office support with other Area Administrators.
• Advise Regional Administrator on needs, achievements, and issues; develop improvement strategies.
• Travel as needed to perform duties.
