Regional Lead Autotech — Southern Region
Location: Charlotte, NC
Territory: Southern United States
Employment Type: Full-Time | Hourly
About Enduro Technical Services of North America
Enduro Technical Services of North America provides industrial maintenance, automation, conveyor, and field service support for clients across the United States. We support high-demand industrial and distribution environments where uptime, troubleshooting ability, and customer responsiveness matter.
Our technicians work directly at client facilities performing equipment repair, automation troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and technical support on conveyor and industrial systems.
Position Overview
Enduro is seeking a Regional Lead Autotech to anchor our growing presence in the Southern region. This role is built for an experienced technician ready to operate as the senior field authority in the region — someone who can run the tools and run the site when it matters — while working closely with Enduro's Michigan-based leadership team on scheduling, quoting, and account growth.
Because this role sits geographically apart from Enduro's core leadership team, the Regional Lead Autotech serves as the primary on-the-ground point of contact for the region — coordinating day-to-day with leadership remotely, and exercising sound independent judgment on job execution, safety, and customer matters when leadership isn't on-site.
This is a hands-on technical role first — machine repair, fault diagnosis, and field troubleshooting remain the core of the job — with meaningful additional responsibility for technician development, work quality, safety leadership, and account growth in the region.
Candidates with backgrounds in industrial maintenance, military equipment maintenance, conveyor systems/automation/controls, automated unloading or induction systems, manufacturing/distribution/fulfillment maintenance, or field service/OEM support involving electrical and mechanical troubleshooting are strongly encouraged to apply.
Equipment You'll Support
- Destuff-it automated container/truck unloading systems
- Maxx Reach extendable conveyor and unloading systems
- Telescoping and extendable belt/roller conveyors; sortation, induction, and high-speed conveyor systems
- PLC-controlled automation, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and motor controls supporting the above
- Safety circuits, interlocks, and e-stop systems on automated unloading and conveyor lines
- DC drive circuitry and motor control troubleshooting

Mechanical Maintenance Support
- Repair and replace bearings, chains, belts, rollers, gearboxes, pneumatic components, and hydraulic systems
- Perform alignments, adjustments, and equipment setup work
- Support equipment reliability and uptime improvement initiatives

- Participate in interviewing and candidate selection for regional hires
Work Execution & Oversight
- Actively participate in and help oversee proper execution of work — ensuring work is performed correctly, completely, and documented to Enduro and customer standards including the generation of SWI’s and Job Safety Plans/Pre-Tasks.
- Serve as the point of accountability for quality and completeness on multi-technician jobs
Revenue Opportunity Identification
- Identify repair needs, equipment deficiencies, and service opportunities observed during site visits and job execution
- Document and communicate findings to leadership for quoting and scheduling — a key driver of how Enduro grows within existing accounts
Site Assessments
- Conduct elevated assessments of customer facilities beyond the immediate scope of the work order
- Evaluate overall equipment condition, identify deferred maintenance concerns, and document observations that inform service planning, scheduling, and customer conversations
Safety & Safety Training
- Lead by example in all field environments; uphold and reinforce Enduro's safety standards — PPE, LOTO, hazard identification, and safe practices around electrical, mechanical, and automated systems
- Validate and sign off on lockout/tagout procedures, deliver periodic safety training, and ensure technicians understand and follow protocols before and during work
- Promptly flag unsafe conditions or practices to leadership; contribute to a culture where safety is non-negotiable regardless of who is watching
Field Equipment, Vehicles & Tools
- Take ownership of the condition, readiness, and proper utilization of assigned service vehicles, trailers, and hand/power tools
- Ensure equipment is maintained, accounted for, and fit for purpose before and after each deployment; flag maintenance needs, shortages, or damage promptly
- Support coordination of equipment assignments across jobs and crews to ensure field teams are properly resourced
Field Service & Client Support
- Travel to client facilities throughout the region; company-provided tools, specialty tools, equipment, service truck, and travel support
- Represent Enduro professionally in customer-facing environments, including situations requiring on-the-spot judgment calls
- Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings clearly to customers and leadership
- Work independently while coordinating remotely with Enduro leadership and customers
- Occasional off-shift, weekend, or extended-hour support may be required based on customer operational needs
