Job summary

Responsibilities include preparing cost studies, collaborating with design leads for constructability, and reviewing final estimates and proposals for accuracy. Travel may be required as duties demand.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 10 years related experience, with at least 3 in supervision.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel depends on duties.
• Equivalently additional related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage estimating functions in an assigned region, including budgets, staffing and work assignments.
• Implement established estimating policies to meet corporate objectives.
• Assist project managers with procurement negotiations (POs, subcontracts, change orders).
• Supervise preparation of market cost studies, materials and methods, and update the database.
• Review project details and advise strategies, resources and approaches as needed.
• Coordinate with design leads for cost effectiveness and constructability for proposals.
• Ensure standardized use of estimating systems and maintenance of cost database.
• Maintain historical data for estimating man-hours across types of estimates.
• Review final estimate and proposal packages for accuracy and completeness.
• Contact subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing.
• Performs additional duties as required.
